New stuff

Things going on recently... Anton went to band camp last week and had a blast. For anybody out there anticipating the teenage years with trepidation, DON'T! Of course, like the rest of us, Anton is no perfect human being, but he so totally rocks! So far the teenage years with him are a blast. It is so exciting to be a part of his life and encourage him in his walk with the Lord and embracing all his God given talents and interests (sorry for the run on sentence). Yesterday he was making up a song on the piano. He often makes me smile from the inside out. What a joy and a precious gift from God!! Here's a couple of clips of him with Anna and one of this fun water rocket thing that he and Tony made... (it's a 2 liter bottle filled with water, presurized by a bike pump)

Other things... Anna went to a very girly place called Glitz & Glam to get a haircut last Friday. So sorry, didn't think to bring the camera. I will definitely make an effort for the next haircut. The cutest thing was watching her sit so still with her little hands on the table for her "manicure". I didn't know that was part of the deal, but it wasn't even pricey and oh so much fun. Miss Rosa did a nice job on her hair too. I was happy to discover that it still looks pretty cute without brushing it since Anna usually screams in protest when I do it. Anyway, I'll add photos to the post tomorrow after I actually take some of the haircut. You can also look forward to seeing the new SIZE 7!!!! shoes I got her today. Well no wonder she hasn't been wanting to wear the size 5 shoes we had anymore. Tonight you can see her in her dutch shoes...

Another thing to check back for... pictures in the little blow up pool I got her. I intend to inflate tonight and see what she thinks tomorrow after our walk. I never thought I'd get one, but I'm too scared to take both babies to the real pool by myself so we don't get to go as much as Anna and I would like.

Emma is doing great. The reflux is better and she's finally sleeping on her back instead of the bouncer. She's starting to coo and smiles a lot. She has become fascinated with her hands and is trying to figure out how to suck on them. The other day Anna was making her laugh, and it was so cute. Hopefully I'll capture this on camera soon. There are lots of sweet moments between them. Here's one from a couple of weeks ago, and another with some cute cooing at the end of a diaper change. Happy 4th of July!!! May our nation and it's leaders be faithful to God as we cherish our hard won freedom!
