November

It was a good month of giving thanks!  It was also a good month to be thankful for marching season!  This was the last one, and it was over in November, so we really enjoyed the end of this wonderful activity that has been such a big part of our lives the last 4 years!!  Anton found a thing on the internet to write drumline cadences on...

He was in a parade in Kingwod - I have no idea what it was for.  I think this was actually at the end of October. 

My dad and stepmom came in town the beginning of November to catch a football game.

It was a cold night!

Anton's litle brother Sean spent the day with us, and we all went to the science museum (all except Anton who stayed home to study).  Sean wanted to do this spinning thing.  He came out smiling and not throwing up so it was a success!!

We went in the butterfly exhibit.  The kids were chasing the butterflies.

Some butterfies landed on me.  The kids were jealous.

We played poker after the girls went to bed.  Elaine cleaned us all out!

For some reason Anton put his letter jacket on the girls.  Made cute pictures!!

KPHS played in the Veteran's day parade downtown. 

Anton's very last high school game ever was in Brenham for a play off game.  The girls enjoyed some hot chocolate.

and doing the drumline thing...  It was a nice end to his high school marching experience!  We will sure miss this next year!!!

We decided to stay in a hotel since we were so late leaving the game and we planned to continue on to Warda for camping the next day.  It seemed like a better plan than setting up a tent at midnight.  The girls started out like this.  I was scared Emma was going to fall out of the bed.  Sure enough we heard a big thud followed by crying around midnight.  I put Emma in bed with me with some pillow on the other side, and Tony slept with Anna.  She stayed in bed, but she sure does roll around a lot.

There's a horse there.  Noboy rides him, but the girls had lots of fun talking to him and feeding him apples and carrots.

They liked hanging out at the dock and fishing for algae.

The guy who runs the place has a really sweet dog who visited us a lot.  The girls LOVED her!

They also have longhorns.  And they serve burgers.  And they have really great mountain biking trails.  I love this place!!

Anna and Emma had a Thanksgiving party at school.

Mr. Gary kept all the kids entertained while they waited for their Chick-fil-a to show up.  I love how I was able to get both girls in the frame nicely!

The next day, my friend Amy came and got Anna to go hand out cookies with her buddy Abby.  They were at our church giving them to the people who came to get Thanksgiving bags of food.  I was excited she got the chance to be a helper - her 1st little mission project!

Emma and I got to play with Abby's little sister Josie at home while this was going on.  Emma brought her lots of toys to play with!

We have so much to be thankful for!!!  Next up - Thanksgiving pictures in Atlanta...

Halloween

 We had a really fun Halloween weekend!  I managed to get these pictures all out of order... First is "trunk or treat" at our church Sunday night.  They had bouncy houses...

 Everybody decorated their trunks and gave out candy from them while the kids trick-or-treated.  Here's our trunk with Tony inside.

Emma is at the stage where she is up way too late if she gets a good nap, but most of the time she can't quite make it till bedtime without at least a little one.  I try to let her take really really short naps most of the time, but she didn't have one that Sunday.  We came home from church around 5:30, and she immediately laid down in the playroom and did this.  It made for an interesting dinner when I made her wake up 1/2 an hour later!!

 We took a little family picture in the backyard sometime that weekend when Anton came over for a little while. 

 This is how Emma plays with her baby doll high chair. :)  He needed a bib. :)

 They made a bunch of little play-doh puppy dogs and food for them all.

 The game that weekend was "Senior night".  All the seniors involved with football came through the big panther before the game with their parents and got announced - the players, band, drill team and cheerleaders.  There's Anton with Tony and Lola.  I think there was a photographer right down in front so hopefully we'll get a better picture.

 Joanna and Jessica came with us too, but this was the only picture I took.  For some reason this big reggae banana is the band mascot.

Before all that, the girls had Halloween parties at school.  Here's Emma playing a game.

Emma eating her snack.  She eats really slow.  She only had time to eat the frosting off the cupcake when the games started.  She made me save the rest but then forgot about it. :)

 Another game in Emma's class - pin the tail on the black cat.  I was running back and forth between the parties, in case you were wondering.

 This is Emma when I first dropped her off at her class earlier.  She has this expression whenever I drop her off anywhere at church.  I think maybe she's always out of sorts for a few minutes without her sister because she doesn't do this at the gym where they stay together.  She always warms up though and talks about school/bible study/Sunday school with lots of excitement.  Maybe she's a little shy like I was. :)

 They also got to have a parade through the offices, where they trick-or-treated and got candy from the church staff.  They aren't kitty-cats at school because the cats are pretty warm, and it was 80+ degrees outside that day.  I had some leftover costumes we used so they weren't miserable hot.

The girls helped Tony make this little picnic table over the weekend.  He gets antsy if he's not building or repairing somehting.  I love being married to an engineer!

 The real halloween!  Emma wouldn't wear her cat ears or any face makeup so I dug out these matching bows to kind of look like ears. :)

 And sorting the loot!  I think they enjoy looking at all the candy as much as they do eating it.

Halloween was a lot of fun.  There's some things about this holiday I don't like, but dressing up my cute little girls and seeing them get so excited about collecting candy is great.  :)
