Anton had Spring Break a few weeks ago, and we finally had a good opportunity to take Emma camping for a long weekend. But first a few cute pics from around the house and the Childrens' Museum....

I came upstairs one day to find this scene in our bedroom!!! Anna had asked Tony to paint her toenails. Of course I had to take a picture! She really enjoys hanging out with Pappa!

Lots of fun stuff outside too! Anna was fascinated by the valves. She's already showing lots of signs that she has her father's engineering mind.
Anna totally drenched herself with the cool outside water stuff. Luckily it was a hot day. Even better luck that I happened to bring extra clothes for her so she didn't have to ride home in her diaper!
I don't use my nursing apron anymore, and Anna has started using it to carry her babies in the same way that I carry Emma in the sling. She's such a sweet Mommy!

Finally the camping pictures... Anton proves that setting up a tent is much faster when you don't have 2 babies trying to help!

Anton loves making campfires. Anna thought it was pretty cool too. She has actually been camping lots of times, but not since Emma was born so I doubt she really remembered it. In case you are wondering, the black dog belongs to the owners of the cattle ranch where we camp. Anton loved having him around - a real lab who loves to fetch and will chase a ball into the water.
Anton is back by the chairs making another fire in the beautiful morning light.
Emma napping in the tent. She never actually fell asleep in the tent because she was always so excited to be in it, but it was sweet to get her to sleep walking around the ranch with her in the sling. Once she was asleep, she slept great in the tent.
My good little napper sleeps through her sister's singing.
Anton worked at the house for a few hours while the owners were away. We love this place!!!! They have fresh burgers - yummy! By the way, if you like camping, mountain biking and cattle ranches, check it out sometime... just south of Giddings off 290 (or just north of La Grange off I-10 if you live on the south side of Houston). http://sitekreator.com/BCR/index.html
While Anton was hard at work, we went for a hike looking for the cows. First Anna fell asleep... (and yes I'm thankful to have a really strong husband willing to take on double duty!) 
There's the cows... these are actually the neighbors cows. The ranch we were on has longhorns. It was really cool to go in the season when lots of calves are born. We got to see a day old calf, as well as another one a little bigger drinking Mama's milk. Anna was fascinated, but Anton thought it was a little weird. Too bad we never seemed to have a camera handy for the longhorns...

Here's a couple of close ups showing Anna's beautiful face and messy hair. She needs a new cut which doesn't really require brushing - this only happens when I'm in the mood to hear her scream. Our hair salon, Glitz & Glam was SO wonderful but they went out of business. I need to find a new place!!!!

Tony's a frequent tea party dad and proud of it! (he might not admit it but I know he is). Notice the cars lined up on the window sill... Anna always arranges them this way and gets very upset when Emma comes along and throws them all over the place.
