Anton went to his girlfriend's prom last Saturday. It was quite an event, with a pre-prom party and an after prom all-nighter at a beach house. Here he is before he went to go pick up Allison.
Most of these pictures are at the pre-prom party, which we got to go to. It was lots of fun! We just happened to pull into the parking lot right after Anton and Allison.
The purpose of this party was really for the parents of his group to take pictures of everyone. There were 14 couples in his group. Most of these kids have been in band together since middle school. All the parents knew each other, well not us so much, but we did know a few because even though Allison goes to the other high school in town, when she was in 9th grade everyone was at the same school. So we knew a few parents of the kids who ended up at Anton's school. Anyway, it was lots of fun with all the kids looking so great in their formalwear. I loved these 2 dresses...
These guys go to Anton's school and they are all good friends. They are all seniors too.
Look at all those beautiful dresses!!!!!
The group got a party bus to take them over to the hotel and then down to the beach house at Surfside.
I think the kids were tired of posing for us and ready to go party!!!!
I had the honor of going to the hotel at midnight to gather up some of the formalwear that some kids didn't want to take to the beach house. I never did see Anton till he was on the bus, and I wasn't allowed to go down in the party area, but here's the view from the balcony upstairs.
Here's a view of the beach from the house they rented on Sunday afternoon. There were several parents chaperoning the whole beach thing, including Allison's mother, just in case you were wondering. :)
He says it was the best weekend of his life. We're so grateful that he has nice friends to enjoy this with!!!

Oh this was really fun to read about! Loved all the pictures and how they found such fun and yet responsible ways to celebrate. Hooray for fabulous smart teens! I'm glad Will still has 15 years to come to terms with strapless gowns on his daughter though!
maybe they won't be in style so much by then. i sure hope so because i don't see tony allowing it. i think they all came with little straps you could attach though... allison put hers on before getting on the bus so she didn't have to worry about it while dancing. i like that girl! :)
