Our 4th of July weekend really started on Thursday with our friends Emma and Kaitlyn's birthday party. They are 14 months apart. It makes me think of my brother and I being so close together and sometimes sharing birthdays. :) This was a backyard waterslide party. Here's some munchkins eating pizza. My Emma actually ate some too!
There's the sweet birthday girls sitting in the chairs. My girls love a cupcake!
On Friday, Tony was off. We had a little birthday breakfast for me because it was the only time Anton was around. We didn't manage to take pictures, but it was fun. :) Anton went to work, and the rest of us headed downtown to the children's museum. It was great fun! On Saturday, my real birthday, Tony and I went on a date downtown. We went to see Midnight in Paris at the River Oaks Theatre. Fun movie at really cool little old fashioned theatre!
On the 4th we rode our bikes to the Kingwood Parade.
Anton marched in the band. It's always so fun to yell his name and wave at him when he goes by!
Lots of people were throwing candy. I think Anna had three pieces of bubble gum in her mouth in this picture. She loves that stuff!
Proof that Tony the photographer was there!
It was really hot!
Later on the girls helped Tony repair a flat tire (not one of the bikes we were riding... Tony got a flat the day before).
The Pences came over for dinner Monday night to help us celebrate.
Jessica brought over this really yummy brownie cake. Really yummy...
Emma fed James some cheerios. It was very cute!
So cute we had to take a video too... at first she was putting them in his mouth at the same rate she would eat them, so we told her to just put them in his hand.
The girls thought the brownie cake was yummy too!
At some point Natalie came rolling into the kitchen on Emma bike. I promptly put a helmet on her. :)
My girls were excited to help Natalie ride!
I praise God for our wonderful country and pray for continued blessings and that we may be a blessing to others!
